Bring Your Dream to the City of Coaches
Every great culture is built intentionally.
The 3D Culture Summit exists to help leadership teams architect the culture of their dreams.
The City of Coaches Experience
St. Joseph is a city that was built to launch dreams.
In the days of the stagecoach, people came here to be resourced, equipped, and launched in pursuit of their dream.
That history provides the theme for the 3D Culture Summit. Leadership teams are invited to bring their dreams to The City of Coaches, where they will hear from great coaches who know how to architect championship cultures. Then, they will apply those principles to build a practical plan for the culture they want to create.
Over two days, every part of the Summit is designed to help your team move from imagination and exploration to implementation and operation.
Why St. Joseph is The City of Coaches
The Original Meaning of Coach
The City of Coaches brings these two ideas together:
a city where people once came to be resourced, equipped, and launched—and a coach who helps people move from where they are to where they need to go.

03 | THE LEGACY SESSIONS
Coaching Conversations From John Wooden’s Couch
This one-of-a-kind experience will feature Valorie Kondos Field, the seven-time national championship coach of UCLA Women’s Gymnastics. Known as “Miss Val,” she is the author of Life Is Short, Don’t Wait to Dance and the presenter of a TED Talk viewed more than five million times.
Mentored by John Wooden and still closely connected to his family, Miss Val now possesses one of the most meaningful relics in sports history: Coach John Wooden’s couch from his coaching office.
That couch will take center stage at the Missouri Theater as Miss Val delivers a keynote and then interviews legendary coaches like Anson Dorrance, Sherri Coale and Mel Tjeerdsma about leadership, purpose, and building life-giving cultures while using Wooden’s timeless quotes as a guide for each conversation.
