Community Impact Project

At The Joseph Company, we believe leadership isn’t just something to be talked about — it’s something to be lived out in service to others.

This fall, our 3D Master’s Class cohort put that belief into action through our first Season V Community Impact Project. What began as a challenge to help kids access healthy sports experiences grew into a powerful example of what can happen when a community goes ALL IN.

Our Goal: Raise $6,000 by November 25 to cover fees for 100+ students to play in the MO Family Sports Elementary School basketball league.

All proceeds benefit the MO Family Sports – Family Assist Fund through the Community Foundation of Northwest Missouri.

How It Worked:

  • SJSD counselors confidentially verified requests from students who qualify based on financial need and class attendance.
  • Approved players had their league participation fees covered.
  • Participants in the fall 2025 3D Master’s Class raised the money to cover the cost through the community service project outlined below.

Results:

$6,870 Raised!

In 2021, Ky Turner and other community leaders shared “A Dream for Athletics” in St. Joseph. Now, in 2025, we’re bringing that dream to life.

In just two weeks, our cohort rallied support and secured $6,870 in pledges, surpassing our goal to cover participation fees for 100+ SJSD students with financial need.

Approximately 85% of pledges have already been fulfilled. If you still need to complete your pledge, or want to make a donation, you can do so by clicking here.

60 Hours of Service at Felix Square

On November 25, thirty members of our 3D Master’s Class each served 2 hours at Felix Square, volunteering 60 total hours to help prepare the area for St. Joseph’s annual lighting ceremony.

Together, we:

  • Helped restore beauty and accessibility to a key community area
  • Picked up 40+ bags of trash and debris
  • Cleaned trash bins
  • Removed weeds and dead plants
  • Pulled stickers from the pergola
  • Cleared pathways and gathering spaces

This project wasn’t just about raising money or cleaning a park.

It was about embodying the heart of 3D leadership by serving the community, building cohesion, strengthening culture, and making a tangible difference in the place we call home.

Thanks to the generosity of our community and the work of our 3D Master’s Class leaders, 115 children will have the chance to play, grow, and belong on their school basketball teams this season.

This is what becoming The City of Coaches looks like.
