Great Teams Have Great Teammates

We’re honored to welcome Sue Ramsey to The City of Coaches.
Coach Ramsey brings a remarkable 35-year coaching legacy, including two decades as Head Women’s Basketball Coach at Ashland University, where she led the Eagles to a Division II National Championship in 2013 and a national runner-up finish in 2012. Over those two seasons, her teams went 70–3, and she was named GLIAC, Regional, and NCAA Division II National Coach of the Year. Her career record of 501 wins reflects sustained excellence, but her impact reaches far beyond the scoreboard.
Sue is widely respected for her commitment to developing the whole person, not just the player. Her leadership has been recognized with honors such as the Kay Yow Heart of a Champion Award, induction into the Athletes in Action Hall of Faith, and the FCA Ohio Sports Legend award. She is also a member of Miami University’s Cradle of Coaches, one of the highest honors in the profession.
Now in the next chapter of her journey, Sue is the author of Great Teams Have Great Teammates and continues to share what she’s learned about culture, character, and leadership. Her message centers on building teams where people matter, teammates lift one another, and purpose is lived out daily. That heart, and that approach, aligns naturally with the core of 3D Coaching.
